Good Morning! I just finished listening to your radio show live! Then I went back and listened to your show with Caverly - The Art of Happiness. I wanted to tell you there were several things that resonated with me. First you were discussing the practice of being present and you mentioned being present for one minute. Caverly suggested that this is helpful unless it then becomes a part of your never ending to do list. She described someone who is frantically running from one task to the next on their never ending to do list (me). Then she said something that really resonated - "If I want my life to be different, I have to approach it differently". I have been looking at why I do not feel joy in my life right now (your show today spoke to that). I was looking at everything outside of myself - "the physical picture" - house, job, relationship. I am reminded that the path to joy is inside me and in my approach. Whenever I looked inside me I was comparing, criticizing, and feeling either less than or resentful at circumstances that were not what they "should" be. I don't know where I am going with this monologue, but I would have questions - How do you get anything done that has to be done without the to do list? I can't remember all of the little details between job and life. Anyway it has shown me that I want to go back to meditating and awareness practice.

The triumphs and struggles of women abound all over the globe and it is so important to share amongst different experinces. I am American, currently living in Turkey, a liberal Islamic culture, and I am an ardent feminist. It has been interesting to say the least.
